Named for President Millard Fillmore, the street runs from Duboce Street to the Marina and is lined with shops. Streetcars started in 1895, and the Fillmore Counterbalance hauled them up a 24.5 percent grade. Decorative arches stood at its intersections from 1907 to 1943.
