Completed in 1980 for $28 million as the San Francisco Symphony's permanent home, after years of sharing the War Memorial Opera House. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Pietro Belluschi designed the 2,743-seat hall, which gained a 147-rank Ruffatti organ in 1984.
