Owner Ahmed Riad has run the cafe since 1994 and roasts the beans on site. As of 2026, live music plays on weekend nights, and San Francisco recognizes the cafe as a Legacy Business.
A green-and-red striped awning marks the corner building. Inside, a hand-painted mural of a green rock rising from gold waves covers the long wall and chalkboard menus hang in diamond-shaped wooden frames above the counter. A front-corner lounge has a leather armchair and bookshelves, and the parklet outside was the first in the Outer Richmond.
