Paolo Araneta opened the cafe in 2018 to brew excelsa beans from his native Philippines, which arrive green and are roasted locally. The espresso is Barako, and the signature drink sweetens it with condensed milk and cinnamon. Ube syrup can go into any drink, and as of 2026 Ingleside Gallery hangs art shows on the walls.
A blue-painted stucco storefront with a large picture window faces W Portal Ave. Inside, white faceted pendant lamps hang over a counter clad in wood planks, and a walled back patio with palms sits behind the shop.
