San Francisco coffee company with Burundi ties, 2026 US Barista Championship runner-up.

Kevin Bohlin opened the first café on Polk Street in 2013, and Saint Frank now has cafés in Russian Hill, the Sunset, and Mira on Folsom Street, plus one in Menlo Park. In 2019 it partnered with the Long Miles Coffee Project to establish a washing station on Ninga Hill in Burundi, and in September 2026 the company reported that more than 17,000 children took part in the Long Miles coffee camp in Burundi.

Bolivia Asunción Java comes from Celso Mayta, and Guatemala's Don Guayo comes from Eduardo Gomez on Volcan de Agua. Barista Jason Yeo placed second at the 2026 US Barista Championship, after two third-place finishes.

At this shop

The shop is a narrow ground-floor room at 2340 Polk Street in Russian Hill, with a bay window onto the street and a few tables on the sidewalk. A long tiled counter runs down the room under a high ceiling with skylights, and a staircase and a ledge of plants mark the back. Stools along the front window face the apartment buildings across Polk.
